Shades of Gold

Today the Challenge at Catherine and Cathy Create is all about the gold!  It's gold-i-licious!!!  So with the Olympics starting today, let's keep thinking G-O-L-D and wish all our Canadian athletes all the best for a safe and successful Olympic games.

Here's my card:



This card features several shades of gold. Here are the details:

Stamps: My Friend, Petit Petals, both SU
Ink: Tsukineko Brilliance - Galaxy Gold, Gold embossing powder by SU
Paper: SU Whisper White, Reflections Gold
Tools:  SU Textured Impression EF and Petit Petals Punch
Washi Tape: SU Watercolour Wonder

So while I was in a "gold" mood I whipped up a wedding card as well.

Stamps: Chalk Talk by SU, the glass is from Michael's but it is very similar to SU's Embellished Events
Ink: Crumb Cake marker, Gold embossing powder, both SU

Hearts-a-Flutter

Valentines Day is fast approaching and so today Catherine and Cathy Create is all about "HEARTS".
Here's my card:


This is a clean and simple card, a bit of a departure for me, but I like how it turned out.  I embossed the heart with the Nestabilities Hearts die.  The Stamp set is from Yippee Skippee, stamped in Cherry Cobbler, and the tiny glitter heart was cut with the Owl Builder punch.
