Back To School

Here's my card for the next challenge, one of my favourite challenge to try and that's the Friday Mashup!
There is always two options at the Mashup, of course I usually try to do both.  This week it's a back to school theme.  I can honestly say I don't miss the craziness of back to school, it's been a long time since I've had to deal with that!  Here's the challenge:

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with the "Sketch Liliana created."
  2. Create a project with a "School Theme (books, pencils, rulers, numbers, etc."
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "School themed project using Liliana's Sketch. "

I mixed up the sketch a bit,  Here's My Card:

Here's the details:
Cardstock: Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Basic Grey
DSP: Birthday Basics
Stamps: Greeting Card Kids (R), Measuring Stick Stampin' Around Builder Wheel
Ink:  Basic Grey, Black Stazon, Primrose Petals and Strawberry Slush Markers
Accessories: Neutrals Brads

Grade 4!

Happy Thursday everyone, tomorrow begins a long weekend for most - I hope everyone has a great Labour Day Weekend!

I've been busy in my craft room getting ready for some Christmas classes , but also took a little time to play along in a few challenges.

The first was a sketch challenge from The Paper Players .  I wanted to make a card for someone going back to school, so this sketch came in handy.

I used the Chevron embossing folder with Pool Party Core'dinations cardstock in keeping with the theme over at Catherine and Cathy Create coming up on Sept. 1st.  The card base is Tangerine Tango, and the accents are This and That Washi Tape.  The Stamp Set is retired, but one I can't give up, called Take A Spin.   I printed the words with the new Chalk Marker.  Quick and easy!

MDS Monday #29

Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted; so much on the go lately.  This morning I was being totally lazy and was playing on my computer when I saw the new challenge from MDS Monday, so I thought, why not?  I was babysitting my Grandchildren a couple of days last week and one day we went to the park - what fun we had! I took lots of pictures and already have used  the My Paper Pumpkin freebie kit from Convention to create a mini album so I was eager to try something else.  NOTE: if you are interested in half price Paper Pumpkin kits see the info at the bottom of this post!

In The Garden

Here's My Card for the August Cool Cards Challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create. The theme is "In the Garden".  I decided to try out this cool technique that I saw somewhere in blog-world called ghosting. You stamp first in white, then again in colour and slightly offset.  The trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig came in quite handy here.

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Old Olive
Ink: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Versamark
Stamps: Secret Garden
Tools: Secret Garden Framelits, Bird Builder Punch
Accessories: Natural Trim, Champagne Glass Stampin' Glitter

Make sure you come back tomorrow for our first ever Catherine and Cathy Create Blog Hop!
